To Our Woodland Church Family
What a wonderful Retirement Celebration this past Sunday for Pastor John & Joan Bryson. I have appreciated so much them being at Woodland and Cedar Creek these past 2 ½ years. We wish them God’s Blessings in Retirement.
So let me give you an update for this summer at Woodland.
I have been asked by Elders/Board to fill in during the summer. Woodland still holds a special place in our hearts. So I come to you, not as your new pastor, but as a retired part-time Temp. J
I am looking forward to being with you through the summer (June-Aug) and then reevaluating in the fall if needed. Hopefully your new Pastor will be here in the near future.
MY PASTORAL ROLE AS THE NEW TEMP
- Happy to preach at least 1x a month.
- I will send Angie a brief weekly devotional for email, Bulletin and other items for calendar as needed.
- I am available to help as I can the Elders and Woodland members with Hospital visits and In Home visits/Bible Studies/Funerals/ and Weddings.
- I will work with Terry and be at Elders/Board/Business meetings.
- I will try to pop in when I can on some of the meetings Rudy and Brian conduct with the young people and other weekly meetings held by others.
